Reopening an Inspection After a Rejection
When a lender rejects a report, set the status back to In Progress so you can fix it and submit again.
Runs on: Desktop and tablet. A web app you open in a browser; it is not built for phones.
Quick Reference
Open the inspection. The status reads Lender Rejected and Submit Report is greyed out.
Click the Lender Rejected badge in the About panel.
In Edit Status, choose In Progress and click Save.
Fix what the lender flagged, then click Submit Report again.
Before You Start
The lender rejected the inspection in the Ordering Engine or through the API.
You're signed in to the Inspector Portal on a computer or tablet.
You know what needs fixing. The reject reason is optional, so ask the lender if none came with it.
Step 1 — Know How Rejection Works
The lender rejects a submitted report
A lender reviews the submitted report and clicks Reject Inspection, with an optional Reject Reason. The status becomes Lender Rejected and stays there until someone moves it back to In Progress.
RAZE notifies the inspector in the RAZE app and by email when a lender rejects.
Step 2 — Open the Rejected Inspection
Lender Rejected locks the report
Open the inspection from Jobs. The About panel shows Lender Rejected and Submit Report is greyed out. Editing the Draw Sheet or adding photos won't turn it back on; only the status change does.
Step 3 — Set the Status to In Progress
Click the status badge
Click the Lender Rejected badge in the About panel. The Edit Status window opens with an Update Status list.
Choose In Progress, then Save
Open Update Status, choose In Progress and click Save. The list also shows Lender Open, Submitted and Lender Rejected; to fix a report, choose In Progress.
Step 4 — Check That Submit Report Is Back
Status updated
A Status updated message appears, the badge reads In Progress and Submit Report is active again. Make your changes on the Questionnaire, Draw Sheet and Photos tabs.
Step 5 — Resubmit the Report
Generate the report
Click Submit Report. In Customize Report, turn on Separate Photo Details into a downloadable PDF only if you want the photo details as a separate download, then click Generate Report.
Review and submit
The report preview opens. Check the pages, then click Submit Report.
Back with the lender
The status returns to Submitted, and the lender can accept or reject the new report. If they reject it again, repeat these steps.
Tips
DO

WATCH FOR
