Locking an Inspection in the Marketplace
Open Marketplace Inspections from the map, review an open job and tap Lock Inspection to claim it before you coordinate site access.
Runs on: iPhone and Android. Get it on the App Store or Google Play.
Quick Reference
On the map screen, tap the list button at the top right.
In Marketplace Inspections, tap the inspection you want.
Check the due date, draw number, fee and Special Instructions.
Tap Lock Inspection and wait for Fill Coordination Note to appear.
Before You Start
You're signed in to the RAZE Mobile App with your inspector account.
You can coordinate access and complete the inspection by its due date.
Step 1 — Open Marketplace Inspections
Tap the list button
The map screen opens with Accepted Inspections, the jobs already associated with your profile, each with its Lock Date. Tap the round list button at the top right of the map to switch to Marketplace Inspections.
Step 2 — Choose an Inspection
Pick an open job
Marketplace Inspections lists the jobs open to lock. Each card shows the street address, the city, state and ZIP, the distance in miles and the request date. Tap a card to open its details. The refresh button at the top shows any new listings, and the X takes you back to the jobs already associated with your profile.
An inspection without confirmed coordinates shows an Unconfirmed badge. You can still open it and lock it.
Step 3 — Review and Lock the Inspection
Check the job, then lock it
The details show the due date, draw number, progress, request date and fee, then the Special Instructions and the GC contact. Read them before you commit. When you're ready to take the job, tap Lock Inspection.
A loading circle shows for a few seconds while the inspection locks. Stay on the screen until it finishes.
Step 4 — Start Coordination
The inspection is locked to you
When the lock finishes, Fill Coordination Note takes the place of Lock Inspection at the bottom of the screen. Your next step is to contact the borrower about site access, then fill the Coordination Note. The Cancel button beside it releases the job: the inspection moves back to Lender Open or to the Marketplace.
Coordination is mandatory. The next guide shows how to text the borrower from the inspection card.
Tips
DO
- •Read the Special Instructions and the due date before you lock.
- •Lock only the jobs you can complete by their due date.
- •Contact the borrower right after you lock, so the visit is scheduled early.
WATCH FOR
- •The loading circle. Wait for Fill Coordination Note to appear before you leave the screen.
- •The Unconfirmed badge. The job's coordinates aren't confirmed yet: tap Help on the inspection to request location support if you need it.
- •Cancel. It releases the job you just locked: the inspection moves back to Lender Open or to the Marketplace.
