Attaching Documents to the Project

Upload documents to the project as a file or as Base64 in JSON, then confirm the document is on the inspection.

Quick Reference

Choose an upload: a multipart file or JSON with Base64.

Upload to the project with the project ID from your create call.

Keep the document ID from the response.

Get the inspection to confirm the document is attached.

Before You Start

You've ordered the inspection and saved its project ID.

You have a valid access token (see Getting an Access Token).

Step 1 — Choose How to Upload

Multipart file

Upload project document (Multipart) sends the file as a standard multipart form, addressed to the project ID.

JSON with Base64

Upload project document (JSON + Base64) sends the file Base64-encoded inside a JSON body, for systems that already build JSON requests.

Step 2 — Upload and Save the IDs

Send the upload

Send the call with your Bearer token. Keep the project ID and the document ID from the response with the loan record.

Replace a document

With the JSON upload, sending a document again with the same usage and sequence replaces the earlier file.

Step 3 — Confirm the Document Landed

Check the inspection

A success response doesn't prove the inspector can see the file. Get the inspection under Check Status and confirm the document is attached.

Ask support if it's still missing

If the document is attached but the inspector still can't see it, send RAZE support the project ID, inspection ID, document ID and file name.

Tips

DO

  • •Upload documents right after the create call, while you have the project ID.
  • •Keep each document ID with the loan record.
  • •Give files clear names so the inspector knows what each one is.

WATCH FOR

  • •A success response isn't proof the inspector can see the file.
  • •Check the project ID: the wrong one puts the file on another project.
  • •The same usage and sequence replaces the earlier file.

Troubleshooting

Confirm the upload used the right project ID, then get the inspection again. If it's still missing, send RAZE support the project ID, inspection ID, document ID and file name.

Either one. Multipart suits files on disk; JSON with Base64 suits systems that already send JSON.

Yes. Create Inspection in the API reference also lists Upload inspection document and Get inspection document.
