Marketplace where you have no inspector

Distance is the condition on Edisto. A lender may have no inspector within reach of the end of SC 174, and it doesn't need one: the Marketplace sends a background-checked inspector from the RAZE Inspection Network, and the island draw comes back in the same format as one in the city. A lender that already works with an inspector in the Lowcountry can route the order to them by Direct Request, through the same workflow and into the same report.

About this market

Edisto Island is one of South Carolina's Sea Islands. Most of it is unincorporated Charleston County, and only the beach town on its southern tip, Edisto Beach, belongs to Colleton County. The one road on and off is SC 174, whose 17-mile run across the island is a National Scenic Byway, and the island stays rural, with homes spread out among the marshes and live oaks.

For a lender based in Columbia, Charlotte or Atlanta, a site at the end of SC 174 can be a long way from any inspector it already works with. That is the job of the Marketplace: RAZE sends a background-checked inspector from the RAZE Inspection Network, and the draw comes back in the same report format as a site in the middle of a city.
