Paid Every Friday: How RAZE Pays Inspectors Weekly

RAZE pays its inspector network every Friday. A standard single-family draw inspection pays $60 to $85, and every inspection submitted Sunday through Saturday is direct deposited the following Friday morning, with nothing to invoice and every payment visible in the RAZE Mobile App. Weekly pay keeps qualified inspectors answering orders, and inspectors who answer orders keep draws funding on schedule.

The weekly cycle

Seven days in. One deposit out.

  • Mon

    Monday's inspection

Submitted from the RAZE Mobile App before the inspector leaves the site.

  • Wed

    Wednesday's inspections

Three stops and three submissions, all in the same cycle.

  • Sat

    Saturday night's inspection

Still in this week's cycle. The window closes with the week, not before.

Each of these leads to:

One payment

  1. Grouped
  2. Payment ID
  3. Reconciled

RAZE groups the week's submissions into one payment with its own Payment ID, so every deposit lists the inspections it covers.

Which returns:

Friday morning direct deposit

The following Friday morning, the payment is in your account. Some banks post it sooner.

The cycle runs every week of the year. No invoice starts it, and no statement closes it.

What an inspection pays

$60 to $85

Standard single-family draw inspection

2 to 4 units

Duplexes to quadplexes pay more

Up to $250

Paid on rare jobs

How the fee is set

The market does not set the fee. The job does.

RAZE Draw Inspection Support

Every fee is set by the RAZE Draw Inspection Support team from what the job asks of the inspector, and it is shown on the job before you accept it.

Drive time

A long drive to a remote site pays more than a stop across town.

Number of jobs

Several inspections in one trip are priced as a trip, not as isolated stops.

Access

A gated, occupied or hard-to-reach site is priced for the extra effort.

Draw sheet and job type

A long draw sheet, a field report or an assessment is priced for the work it takes.

Property type

Duplexes, triplexes and quadplexes pay more than a single-family home.

Price alerts

Whenever Draw Inspection Support updates a fee, the RAZE Mobile App sends you a price alert.

Why lenders should care who pays the inspector

  • Builder & borrower
  • Lender
  • Inspector
  • Title & fund control
  1. Builder requests the draw

    Builder & borrower

The builder submits work in place, percent complete and invoices for the period.

  2. Lender orders the inspection

    Lender

The order goes out to an inspector or an inspection network.

Where an unpaid network stalls: Crews wait for the money from here onThe builder's clock starts
  3. Inspector accepts the order

    Inspector

A qualified inspector in the property's market takes the job and confirms access with the builder.

Where an unpaid network stalls: An inspector still waiting on last month's invoices takes the client who pays first
  4. Inspector on site

    Inspector

The inspector records percent complete by line item, with geo- and time-stamped photos, in the RAZE Mobile App.

    The work: one site visit
  5. Report submitted

    Inspector

The standardized report reaches the lender's review queue.

Where an unpaid network stalls: A late or thin report sends the reviewer back to the inspector
  6. Draw funded

    Lender

The reviewer approves the draw line by line and funds are released to the builder.

    Funds released to the builder
Three of the six steps belong to the inspector, and each one depends on an inspector who wants the order. RAZE pays weekly so that the answer is yes.

A weekly cycle costs RAZE more to run than a monthly one. We run it anyway. A paid network accepts the order, keeps the appointment and submits clean work, and that is what keeps builders funding on schedule.

What inspectors get

For inspectors

Weekly pay, start to finish

Six things that make RAZE work as the client an inspector answers first.

  • Friday direct deposit

$60 to $85 for a standard inspection, paid the Friday morning after the week it was submitted, every week of the year.

  • Nothing to invoice

Submissions are grouped into one payment with its own Payment ID.

  • Fee Tracker in the app

Paid versus unpaid, payments by date, pending payments and the inspections behind every deposit.

  • Secure vendor portal

Your documentation and tax information are on hand whenever you need them.

  • Support from the app

A question sent from the app goes directly to RAZE accounting and vendor support.

  • A screened network

Identity verification, a competency assessment, watchlist and AML screening and proof of insurance come before the first order.

What lenders get

A screened network

Every inspector on RAZE passes identity verification, a competency assessment, watchlist and AML screening and insurance review before the first order, and anyone who falls out of compliance is removed.

A paid network

Weekly pay is why RAZE Marketplace orders get accepted and completed on schedule, including in rural and remote markets where coverage is hardest to find.

Marketplace vs. Direct Request →

One standardized report

Whoever performs the inspection, the lender gets the same report with geo- and time-stamped photos by line item, ready for review.
