The market
Austin is the capital of Texas and the seat of Travis County, and the city reaches into Williamson and Hays Counties as well. Its metro ranked sixth in the country for single-family building permits over the first ten months of 2024. Inside the city, the rules for a lot have changed: the HOME amendments approved in late 2023 allow up to three homes on a lot zoned for one, and in 2024 the minimum lot size fell from 5,750 to 1,800 square feet.
How RAZE ran it
A lender's Austin book can hold a small-lot infill home in the urban core and a new house in a subdivision across a county line in the same month. Every order follows the same path in RAZE: placed in the Ordering Engine, dispatched, captured in the RAZE Mobile App against the draw sheet and delivered in one report format. A reviewer reads every Austin draw the same way, whichever county the lot is in.
