About this market
Forest is an unincorporated community in eastern Bedford County, part of the Lynchburg metro and the home of Poplar Forest, the octagonal retreat Thomas Jefferson designed and began building in 1806. It has grown quickly over the past two decades, especially since U.S. Route 221, Forest Road, was widened to four lanes in 2009.
