Short answer

An inspector portal is the web workspace an inspection vendor uses to run its side of the work: receiving assigned jobs, completing the lender's draw sheet and questions, attaching photos, submitting reports and managing its inspectors. The lender orders and reviews in its own system; the portal is where the vendor's team does the work in between.

Where the portal sits.

A draw inspection passes through three hands. The lender orders it and reviews the report. The inspector visits the site. In between, an inspection company assigns the job, checks the work and sends the report back. The inspector portal is that middle seat: a browser-based workspace where a vendor's office sees every assignment, its status and its due date, and where reports are finished and submitted.

A capable portal holds more than a job list. It carries the lender's requirements on each job, such as the budget lines to report against and the questions that must be answered, so the vendor completes exactly what was ordered. It also lets a manager see who is working on what, set each inspector's access, and follow a report through review, including when the lender sends one back.

Why it matters for lenders.

Most of what a lender reads in a draw report was assembled in the vendor's portal. If the vendor works from email, spreadsheets and PDFs, the lender inherits that inconsistency. If the portal enforces the lender's draw sheet and required questions before anything can be submitted, every report arrives in the same shape. Supervisors care about the result: the FDIC's construction and land development procedures ask whether inspection reports are detailed enough to support disbursements. When you choose a draw inspection company, ask what its team works in.

How RAZE handles it.

The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, used by inspection vendors and their inspectors. Jobs lists every assignment with its status, and Map View plots them for route planning. On each job the team enters Current% per line item on the Draw Sheet, within the Available% the lender set, completes the Questionnaire and tags photos to questions. Submit Report compiles the Questionnaire, Draw Sheet and photos into the PDF the lender reviews in the Ordering Engine. When a lender rejects a report, the inspection is reopened and resubmitted without a new order. Managers assign permission roles, authorized lenders and work locations, and the portal keeps role-based access, activity logging and documented data handling. Step-by-step help is in the Inspector Portal guides.
