Quick Start for Inspectors

Install the Raze app, capture clear evidence on-site, and submit a complete report in minutes.

Prerequisites

iOS 14+ or Android 9+

At least 1 GB free storage

Allow Camera, Photos, and Microphone

Optional: enable Location for geotagging

Step 1 — Install & Sign In

1. Download the app

Download the app for iOS or Android.

2. Create your account or sign in

Create your account or sign in with your work email.

3. Join your organization

Enter the team code you received from your coordinator.

4. Grant permissions

Allow Camera, Photos, and Microphone permissions.

Step 2 — Fetch Today's Inspections

1. Tap Sync on the Home tab

Sync your assignments to see the latest jobs.

2. Fetch assignments

Tap Fetch assignments and select only Today or This week.

3. Open an inspection

Open an inspection to view areas and required media.

Sync before leaving coverage and after finishing your inspection to prevent data loss.

Step 3 — Capture Photos & Video

1. Open the target room/area

Open the target room/area and tap Add Photo.

2. Frame clearly

Frame clearly; ensure numbers and labels are readable.

3. Video walkthroughs

For video walkthroughs, rotate to landscape and narrate briefly.

4. Add notes and flags

Add short notes and Flag any critical findings.

DO
  • Make serial/model numbers legible
  • Allow an extra second in low light
  • Review each photo before saving
DON'T
  • Don't shoot through windows/windshields
  • Avoid fingers, people, or car parts in frame
  • Keep the subject property centered

Step 4 — Complete Checklist

Mark items as Pass/Fail/Needs Attention.

Add severity and link media to findings.

Step 5 — Preview, Sync & Submit

1. Preview your report

Tap Preview to review photos and notes.

2. Fix any issues

Fix missing or blurry items.

3. Submit

Tap Submit. Your report uploads and a web link is shared with your organization and clients.

FAQ

Can I work offline?

Yes. Capture photos and complete inspections normally; sync when reconnected.

How do I replace a photo?

Open the item, tap the photo, and choose Replace.

Who can see my media?

Only your organization and authorized clients have access to inspection media.

Can I reschedule an inspection?

Contact your coordinator to reschedule. They will update the assignment in the system.

What happens if I lose connection mid-inspection?

Your progress is saved locally. Continue working and sync when connection is restored.

How long are reports stored?

Reports are stored securely and remain accessible to your organization and clients indefinitely.

Can I add notes after submission?

Once submitted, reports are read-only. Contact your coordinator if you need to make changes.
