Product: RAZE Mobile App Runs on: iPhone and Android. The RAZE Mobile App is a phone app for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play). Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/mobile-app Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/coordinate-site-access All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open the inspection and find the borrower's name and phone number. - Tap the message icon next to the phone number. - Keep Recommended AutoText selected and tap Message. - Review the text in your Messages app and tap send. ### Before You Start - The inspection is assigned to you and shows in the RAZE mobile app. - Your phone can send text messages. ### Step 1: Open the Inspection Card **Find the borrower contact.** The inspection card shows the property address, due date, draw number, request date, and fee. Below that are the borrower's name and phone number. Tap the green message icon to the right of the phone number. ![Tap the message icon next to the borrower's phone number.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/coordinate-site-access/01-inspection-card.webp) ### Step 2: Choose Your AutoText **Keep Recommended AutoText.** Select Preset AutoText opens with Recommended AutoText already selected. It fills in a standard access request for you. Choose No AutoText if you want to write the message yourself. Then tap Message. ![Recommended AutoText is selected. Tap Message to continue.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/coordinate-site-access/02-select-autotext.webp) ### Step 3: Review and Send **Check the message.** Your phone's Messages app opens with the borrower's number and the message filled in. The recommended text introduces you by first name as the draw inspector, names the property, and asks for access details (such as gate codes) and a convenient time to meet on-site. Edit it if needed, then tap send. ![The AutoText fills in your name and the property address.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/coordinate-site-access/03-review-message.webp) **The message is sent.** The message appears in your conversation with the borrower. Switch back to the RAZE app to continue. ![The access request is on its way to the borrower.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/coordinate-site-access/04-message-sent.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Coordinate before every site visit. It's mandatory. - Use Recommended AutoText so every borrower gets the same clear, professional request. - Ask for anything you need to get on-site, like gate codes or a lockbox, and a time to meet. **WATCH FOR** - The phone number. Confirm it matches the borrower on the card before you send. - Replies. The text goes from your phone's Messages app, so the borrower's reply comes back there, not in the RAZE app. - Your number. The borrower sees the phone number you text from. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I want to write my own message.** A: On Select Preset AutoText, choose No AutoText, then tap Message. **Q: Tapping the message icon doesn't open my Messages app.** A: Check that your phone can send text messages and has a default messaging app set up. **Q: The borrower's phone number is missing or wrong.** A: Contact RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com so the project contact can be corrected. ### Need Help? Change it if your visit is on another day. - The time picker uses AM and PM. Check it before you tap Done. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I can't start the inspection.** A: Fill the Coordination Note first. Answer Manner of Communication, Party Coordinated with, and "Is there a set Date/Time?", then tap Start Inspection. **Q: I chose the wrong option.** A: Tap the answer next to the question and choose again. **Q: The status stays on "Saving..."** A: Check your phone's connection and give it a moment. If it doesn't change to "Saved," contact RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com. ### Need Help? Tap Photo Gallery. ![Tap Photo Gallery on Your Inspection.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/01-open-photo-gallery.webp) **Tap Take photos.** The counter under the address shows how many photos you have out of 60, and a reminder says at least one photo is required. Tap Take photos to open the camera. ![Photos: 0 / 60, and at least one photo is required. Tap Take photos.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/02-take-photos.webp) ### Step 2: Take the Photos **Tap the shutter.** Point the camera at what you're documenting and tap the round shutter button. To speak it instead, see Using Talk-to-Text for Draw Sheet Notes; dictation works the same way here. ![Example: "main lot site." Tap the send arrow to save it.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/05-add-a-comment.webp) **Keep shooting.** Photos with a comment show a small orange comment icon in the strip. Keep taking photos and commenting until you've covered the site. ![Two photos have comments, including "potential well but looks older."](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/06-comments-on-photos.webp) ### Step 4: Review and Sync **Check the Photo Gallery.** Go back to Photo Gallery. The counter shows your total (10 / 60 here) and the status reads "Saved." Each photo has its own Add comments line for notes you add later. Then tap Sync data. ![Ten photos saved. Review them, then tap Sync data.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/07-review-the-gallery.webp) **Let the photos sync.** Back on Your Inspection, Photo Gallery shows a spinner while your photos upload, then a check when they're done. ![The photos are syncing.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/capture-photos/08-photos-syncing.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Comment on any photo that needs context, like "main lot site" or "potential well." - Use the zoom buttons for details you can't walk up to. - In Photo Gallery, tap the sparkle button to draft a comment, then review it before you send. - Sync data before you leave the Photo Gallery. **WATCH FOR** - At least one photo is required, and the gallery holds up to 60. - Photo Gallery isn't checked on Your Inspection until the sync finishes. - Comments save only when you tap the send arrow. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Take photos doesn't open the camera.** A: Allow the RAZE app to use the camera in your phone's settings, then try again. **Q: I need to add a comment after I left the camera.** A: In Photo Gallery, tap Add comments under the photo. The sparkle button next to the field drafts a comment for you; see Using RAZE AI for Photo Comments. **Q: Photo Gallery doesn't show a check on Your Inspection.** A: Open Photo Gallery, tap Sync data, and wait for the sync to finish. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Using RAZE AI for Photo Comments > Tap the sparkle button to draft a photo comment, review it, then save it: nothing saves until you tap send. Product: RAZE Mobile App Runs on: iPhone and Android. The RAZE Mobile App is a phone app for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play). Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/mobile-app Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/ai-photo-comments All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - In Photo Gallery, tap Add comments under the photo. - Tap the sparkle button to the right of the field. - Review the suggestion. Tap the check to keep it or the X to discard it. - Edit if needed, then tap the green send arrow to save. ### Before You Start - Your RAZE Mobile App is version 1.6.1 or later, the update that added Photo Comment Assistance. - You've taken your site photos. See Capturing the Photos if you haven't. - Your phone has a data connection. The suggestion is drafted online, so in a dead zone type or dictate the comment instead. ### Step 1: Open the Comment Field **Tap Add comments under a photo.** In Photo Gallery, every photo has its own Add comments line underneath it. Tap it on the photo you want to describe. The field opens above the keyboard with two buttons to its right: the sparkle button (AI suggest) and the green send arrow. ![The comment field is open. The sparkle button drafts a comment; the green arrow saves it.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/ai-photo-comments/01-tap-ai-suggest.webp) ### Step 2: Tap the Sparkle Button **Let the app draft the comment.** Tap the sparkle button. A spinner shows while RAZE AI looks at the photo, then the draft appears in the field: a short list of what's in the photo, such as "Tile Work, Tub Set, Backer Board, Thinset, Wall Tile Panels." ![The draft for a bathroom tile photo. The red X discards it; the green check keeps it.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/ai-photo-comments/02-review-suggestion.webp) ### Step 3: Keep, Edit, or Discard **Keep it with the check, then add your detail.** Tap the green check to keep the draft. The field stays open, so you can add what only you know from the site, like percent complete, a missing item, or where on the house the photo was taken. ![The draft reads "Sheathing, windows, doors, Tyvek." Tap the check, then keep typing. Dictation works here too.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/ai-photo-comments/03-keep-and-edit.webp) **Throw it out with the X.** Tap the red X to discard the draft. Anything already in the field before you tapped the sparkle button stays as it was, so an existing comment is never overwritten by a suggestion you didn't keep. Then type or dictate your own comment. ### Step 4: Send to Save **Tap the green send arrow.** When the comment reads the way you want, tap the green send arrow. The status under the property header shows "Saving..." and then "Saved." The comment now sits under the photo with an orange comment icon. ![Saved: the kept draft plus the inspector's own words, and the status reads "Saved."](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/ai-photo-comments/04-comment-saved.webp) **Off-site photos get flagged.** If a photo doesn't show the inspection site (a stray shot of a desk, a truck dashboard, a coffee mug), the draft says "Not related to inspection site." Delete the photo with the red X in its corner, or replace the draft with a real description if the photo belongs in the report. ![A photo that isn't the site is flagged instead of described.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/ai-photo-comments/05-off-site-photo-flagged.webp) **Sync when you're done.** AI comments sync like any other comment. When every photo that needs a note has one, tap Sync data at the bottom of Photo Gallery. ### Tips **DO** - Read every draft before you tap the check. - Add what the camera can't see: percent complete, missing items, and location on the property. - Use it on every photo to keep your comments consistent across the report. - Delete off-site photos before you sync. **WATCH FOR** - Wrong trade terms. Fix anything the draft got wrong before you send. - Drafts describe what's visible. They don't judge quality or code compliance. - With the keyboard open, check that you're commenting on the photo you mean to. - Comments save only when you tap the send arrow. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I don't see the sparkle button.** A: Your app is older than version 1.6.1. Update RAZE (Codefi) in the App Store or Google Play, then reopen Photo Gallery. Until then, type or dictate your comments. **Q: The spinner runs, but no suggestion appears.** A: Check your signal and tap the sparkle button again. If you're in a low signal area, type or dictate the comment and keep moving. **Q: My original comment disappeared.** A: Tapping the check replaces what was in the field with the suggestion. Retype your comment, or next time tap the X to keep the original. If the draft is wrong, the X is always the safe choice. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Completing the Draw Sheet > Record your recommendation for each line item, add notes where they help, and sync your work to the inspection. Product: RAZE Mobile App Runs on: iPhone and Android. The RAZE Mobile App is a phone app for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play). Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/mobile-app Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/complete-draw-sheet All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - From Your Inspection, open Draw Sheet. - Tap the checkmark on a line item to recommend its full Available %. - Add detail to the line item's note when it helps. - Tap Sync data, then confirm Draw Sheet shows a check. ### Before You Start - You've filled the Coordination Note and started the inspection. - You've checked the work on-site for each line item. - Your photos are captured and commented. Using RAZE AI for Photo Comments shows how to draft photo comments with one tap. ### Step 1: Open the Draw Sheet **Start from Your Inspection.** Your Inspection lists three sections: Photo Gallery, Draw Sheet, and Questionnaire. A check appears next to each one when it's complete. Tap Draw Sheet. ![Tap Draw Sheet on Your Inspection.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/01-open-draw-sheet.webp) ### Step 2: Recommend Each Line Item **Read the line item.** Each line item shows Budgeted, Previous, and Available percentages, with Your Recommendation on the right. When the work for a line item is complete, tap the checkmark next to Your Recommendation. ![Tap the checkmark to recommend the line item.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/02-tap-checkmark.webp) **The recommendation fills in.** RAZE fills Your Recommendation with the full Available % and adds a "Completed." note under the line item. New Progress and Total Completion at the bottom update, and the status under the property header shows "Saving..." and then "Saved." ![Permits now shows 1.0% recommended, a "Completed." note, and updated progress.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/03-recommendation-filled.webp) ### Step 3: Add Detail to the Note **Edit the note.** Tap the note under a line item to edit it. Type your detail after "Completed." and tap the green send arrow to save it. To speak your note instead of typing, see Using Talk-to-Text for Draw Sheet Notes. ![Add your detail, then tap the send arrow.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/04-add-detail-to-note.webp) ### Step 4: Sync Your Work **Tap Sync data.** When you've finished the line items, tap Sync data at the bottom of the Draw Sheet. ![Notes save to each line item. Tap Sync data when you're done.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/05-sync-data.webp) **Confirm the Draw Sheet is complete.** Back on Your Inspection, Draw Sheet shows a check once the sync finishes. ![Draw Sheet is checked on Your Inspection.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/complete-draw-sheet/06-draw-sheet-complete.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Check a line item only after you've verified the work on-site. - Add a short note when it helps explain the work, like "cleared land, no footings yet." - Sync data when you finish the Draw Sheet. **WATCH FOR** - The checkmark recommends the full Available %. Use it only when that line item's work is complete. - Every checked line item gets a "Completed." note. Edit it if that doesn't describe what you saw. - A status of "Saving..." means your change is still being saved. Wait for "Saved." ### Troubleshooting **Q: Draw Sheet doesn't show a check on Your Inspection.** A: Open the Draw Sheet, tap Sync data, and wait for the sync to finish. **Q: The status stays on "Saving..."** A: Check your phone's connection and give it a moment. If it doesn't change to "Saved," contact RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com. **Q: I don't see a line item I expected.** A: The Draw Sheet opens on the Available tab. Tap All at the top to see every line item. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Using Talk-to-Text for Draw Sheet Notes > Dictate line-item notes on the Draw Sheet instead of typing them, then review and send, and they save to the inspection automatically. Product: RAZE Mobile App Runs on: iPhone and Android. The RAZE Mobile App is a phone app for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play). Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/mobile-app Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/talk-to-text-notes All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open the inspection's Draw Sheet and find the line item. - Tap the comment under the line item to open the note field. - Tap the microphone on your keyboard and speak your note. - Review the text, then tap the green send arrow to save. ### Before You Start - The RAZE mobile app is installed and you are signed in to an assigned inspection. - Keyboard dictation is turned on for your phone. On iPhone, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Enable Dictation. - The app has microphone access if your phone asks for it the first time you dictate. ### Step 1: Open the Note on a Line Item **Find the line item on the Draw Sheet.** Each line item on the Draw Sheet shows Budgeted, Previous, and Available percentages next to Your Recommendation. The comment for that line item sits directly below those numbers. Tap the comment (or "Add comments" if the line item has no note yet) to edit it. ![Tap the comment under the line item you want to annotate.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/talk-to-text/01-draw-sheet-comment.webp) **The note field opens above the keyboard.** The note opens in an editable field with your keyboard below it. Any text already in the note stays, and new text is added at the cursor. ![The note field is open. The keyboard microphone is in the bottom-right corner.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/talk-to-text/02-open-comment-field.webp) ### Step 2: Tap the Microphone and Speak **Start dictation from the keyboard.** Tap the microphone in the bottom-right corner of the keyboard. The microphone turns white and a language indicator such as "English (US)" appears above the field. Speak your note at a normal pace, and your words appear in the field as you talk. ![Dictation is active when the microphone is highlighted and the language indicator is showing.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/talk-to-text/03-tap-microphone.webp) ### Step 3: Review and Send **Check the text before you send.** When you finish speaking, tap the microphone again (or just stop talking) to end dictation. Read the note through and fix any misheard words with the keyboard. Then tap the green send arrow to the right of the field. ![Example: "per county ordinance, you must have your permit approved before you can clear land" was dictated after the existing note.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/talk-to-text/04-review-and-send.webp) **The note saves to the line item.** The keyboard closes and the full note appears under the line item. The status under the property header shows "Saving..." and then "Saved," so you don't need a separate save step. ![The dictated note now shows on the Permits line item.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/mobile-app/talk-to-text/05-note-saved.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Review every dictated note before you tap send. - Say punctuation out loud ("comma," "period") when you need it. Dictation adds what it hears. - Dictate when you're away from loud equipment or heavy wind. - Keep each note to the line item it describes, and add a separate note on each line item that needs one. **WATCH FOR** - Misheard names, numbers, and trade terms. Correct them by hand before sending. - Capitalization after existing text. Dictation may continue in lowercase after an existing note. - Accidental dictation. If the microphone is still highlighted, it is still listening. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I don't see a microphone on my keyboard.** A: Dictation is turned off on your phone. On iPhone, go to Settings > General > Keyboard and turn on Enable Dictation. On Android, turn on voice typing in your keyboard's settings. **Q: The microphone is there, but nothing gets typed.** A: Check that the RAZE app has microphone access in your phone's settings, and that your phone has a signal. Some phones need a connection to process dictation. **Q: My note didn't save.** A: Make sure you tapped the green send arrow. Closing the keyboard without sending may not save the note. Check the status under the property header. It should read "Saved." ### Need Help? Click a photo to open it full size. ![Alert Questions and the photos tagged to a question.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/ordering-engine/ordering-engine-review-an-inspection/01-questionnaire.webp) ### Step 2: Check the Draw Sheet **One row per budget line.** Max % is the line's full share. Previous % was approved on earlier inspections. Available % is what's left. Current % is what the inspector entered this visit. Tag Photo attaches a photo to a line. ![The four percentage columns and Tag Photo.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/ordering-engine/ordering-engine-review-an-inspection/02-draw-sheet.webp) ### Step 3: Review the Photos **The full gallery.** Click Upload to add photos. Click a photo to add a Comment, a Photo Guide ID, or GPS, then click Save. The date and size are stamped automatically. ![The Photos tab and the Upload button.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/ordering-engine/ordering-engine-review-an-inspection/03-photos.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Read Alerted answers first. - Compare each line's Current % with its tagged photos. - Ask inspectors to tag photos to questions and lines. **WATCH FOR** - Current % can never exceed Available %. - Photo comments save only when you click Save. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Where are the flagged answers?** A: On the Questionnaire tab, flagged answers show Alerted. **Q: Can I add photos?** A: Yes. Click Upload on the Photos tab. **Q: Why is a line at 0.00% Available?** A: It was fully drawn on earlier inspections. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Reading the Draw Sheet > Four percentages on every budget line keep each draw within budget: Max, Previous, Available, and Current. Product: RAZE Ordering Engine Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Ordering Engine is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/ordering-engine Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/ordering-engine-draw-sheet-percentages All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Max % is the line's share of the budget. - Previous % is what earlier inspections approved. - Available % is Max minus Previous. - Current % is this visit's entry and can't exceed Available. ### Before You Start - You have opened a submitted job's Draw Sheet. ### Step 1: Know the Four Columns **Max %.** The line's full share, from the Budget tab. **Previous %.** What earlier inspections approved on the line. **Available %.** What is left to draw: Max minus Previous. **Current %.** What the inspector entered this visit. It can never exceed Available. ### Step 2: Read Two Real Lines **Cabinet and Clearing / Grading / Building Permit.** Cabinet: Max 4.00%, Previous 0.00%, so 4.00% is Available. Clearing / Grading / Building Permit: Max 4.00%, Previous 4.00%, so nothing is Available. ![One line with its full share available, and one fully drawn line.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/ordering-engine/ordering-engine-draw-sheet-percentages/01-draw-sheet-rows.webp) ### Step 3: Follow the Cycle **Approval rolls it forward.** When you approve, Current % moves into Previous %. The next inspection starts from the new Previous %, and the cycle repeats until every line reaches its Max %. ### Tips **DO** - Check that lines with 0.00% Available are not drawn again. - Plan the budget categories early, because Max % comes from the budget. **WATCH FOR** - Changing a budget line's share affects jobs already ordered. ### Troubleshooting **Q: What is Available %?** A: Max % minus Previous %: what is left to draw on the line. **Q: Can an inspector go over what is left?** A: No. Current % can't exceed Available %. **Q: When does Current become Previous?** A: When the inspection is approved. ### Need Help? It's an institution setting, so ask your administrator or RAZE support which mode applies. ### Tips **DO** - Review the Questionnaire, Draw Sheet, and Photos first. - Click Report to open the inspection PDF. **WATCH FOR** - Accept and Reject appear only after the inspector submits. - With auto-approve on, jobs approve without a click. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I don't see Accept or Reject.** A: They appear after the inspector submits. **Q: What happens when I reject?** A: The status becomes Lender Rejected, everyone involved is notified, and the inspector may redo the visit. **Q: My jobs approve themselves.** A: Your institution likely uses auto-approve. Ask your administrator. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Inspector Portal Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal-jobs-list All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Sign in at portal.getaraze.com from any web browser. - Jobs opens first: one row per inspection assigned to you or open to your company. - Read the Status column: Lender Open is waiting to start, In Progress is underway. - Use Name, ID and Date to find a job, and Display to choose the columns you see. ### Before You Start - You have Inspector Portal credentials from your company administrator or the RAZE team. - You're on a computer or tablet. The portal is a web app, so nothing installs. - Each inspector signs in with their own account, so the system records who did each inspection. ### Step 1: Sign In to the Portal **Open portal.getaraze.com.** Go to portal.getaraze.com in your browser and sign in. Your role sets what you see: field inspectors see Jobs, and company managers and admins also see People. ### Step 2: Read the Jobs List **One row per inspection.** Jobs opens after you sign in. Each row is a property to inspect, with the project name, job number, status, lender, borrower, GC name and the full address. ![The Jobs list, with the search fields at the top and Display at the right.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-jobs-list/01-jobs-list.webp) **Find a job fast.** Type in Name or ID, or set a Date range, to narrow the table. Click Display to choose which columns show, so the view fits the way you work. ### Step 3: Watch the Status Column **Lender Open or In Progress.** Lender Open means the job is waiting for you to start. In Progress means work is underway. Click any row to open the job. ![The Status column is the signal that matters most.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-jobs-list/02-status-column.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Check Jobs at the start of every day. - Open the job before you drive out, so the address and due date are confirmed. - Keep your own login. Never work under another inspector's account. **WATCH FOR** - A job you expect is missing? Check the Date range and any filter still applied. - Lender Open jobs wait until you open them and start work. - Columns hidden with Display stay hidden until you turn them back on. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I can't sign in.** A: Ask your company administrator to check your account, or contact RAZE support with your company name. **Q: The list is empty.** A: Clear the Name, ID and Date fields, then open Filter and click Reset. If it's still empty, your company has no open assignments for you. **Q: A column I need is gone.** A: Click Display and turn the column back on. ### Need Help? Click Reset, then add filters back one at a time. **Q: I can't find the field I need.** A: Click More Filters. The second set holds the codes, IDs and address fields. **Q: Do filters change the Map View?** A: The Jobs list and Map View show the same assignments. Clear the filters to see every job again. ### Need Help? Check the Due Date on each job so the earliest deadline comes first. ### Tips **DO** - Plan the route in Map View before you leave in the morning. - Open each job from its pin and confirm the address and Due Date. - Put the earliest Due Date first when two jobs are close together. **WATCH FOR** - A pin summary shows the status at the time you opened the map; refresh for changes. - Filters set in Advanced Filters also narrow the pins you see. - Two jobs at one address stack on the same pin. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The map shows no pins.** A: Open Filter and click Reset, then check the Date range. The map shows the same jobs as the list. **Q: A pin is in the wrong place.** A: The pin uses the address on the job. Everything you complete, document and submit lives in these four tabs. ![Overview: the project card, Past Jobs and Description on the left, About on the right.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-job-overview/01-overview.webp) ### Step 2: Check the About Panel **Status, dates and the report.** About shows the Status, Inspection Type, Request Date, Submit Date and Due Date, with the Report block below. Due Date is the deadline for submitting the completed inspection. Changing Status here sends automatic notifications to everyone on the job. ![Status and Due Date in the About panel.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-job-overview/02-about-panel.webp) ### Step 3: Read the Property Details **Everything for site access.** Scroll the left column for the Address, Residential details, Borrower contacts and GC information you need to coordinate the visit. Past Jobs lists earlier inspections on the project with their status and submitted date. Depending on your permissions, Edit lets you correct property information here. ### Tips **DO** - Read the Due Date before anything else. - Confirm the address and the borrower and GC contacts before you drive out. - Use Past Jobs to see what earlier inspections reported on the project. **WATCH FOR** - A Status change here notifies the lender and your company right away. - No Edit button? Your permission role doesn’t allow edits; ask your manager. - The Report block stays empty until a report is generated or attached. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Which tab do I start with?** A: Overview, for the address, contacts and Due Date. Then Questionnaire, Draw Sheet and Photos on site. **Q: The address looks wrong.** A: If you have edit rights, click Edit beside Address. Otherwise tell your manager or the lender before you visit. **Q: I can't see a Due Date.** A: Check About on the right of the Overview tab. Work through the pages in order and click Save as you go. ![Page 2 of the Questionnaire, with its sections and the Save button.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-questionnaire/01-pages-and-sections.webp) ### Step 2: Clear Every Required Field **Required and Alerted counters.** Each page and section shows a Required count, such as 0/1 for one required answer still missing. Fill every required field on every page before you submit. Alert Questions and Tag Photo sit at the top of each section. ![The Required and Alerted counters and the section buttons.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-questionnaire/02-required-and-alerts.webp) ### Step 3: Flag an Answer for the Lender **Turn on Alerted.** Turn on the Alerted toggle under any answer that needs the lender’s attention. Alerted items are highlighted in the summary, so reviewers find them without reading the whole form. ![Alerted on, with Mark as alert available on the next question.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-questionnaire/03-alerted-toggle.webp) ### Step 4: Tag Photos to a Question **Tag Photo, then Done Tagging.** Click Tag Photo, pick the photos that support the answer, then click Done Tagging. Tagged photos appear under the question and link your observation to its evidence, which speeds up the lender’s review. ![Six photos tagged to the first question.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-questionnaire/04-tag-photos.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Save after every page. - Tag photos to the question they prove, not only to the job. - Use Alerted for anything the lender should not miss. **WATCH FOR** - Submit stays blocked while a required field is empty on any page. - A section collapsed by default can still hold required questions. - Tagging ends only when you click Done Tagging. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The Required count won't clear.** A: Open every section on the page. A collapsed section may hold the empty required field. **Q: Tag Photo shows no photos.** A: Upload the photos on the Photos tab first, then come back and tag them. **Q: What does Mark as Done do?** A: It marks the page as complete in the list on the left, so you can see which pages are still open. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Inspector Portal Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal-complete-the-draw-sheet All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open the Draw Sheet tab. Each row is a budget line the lender defined. - Read Max%, Previous% and Available% before you type anything. - Enter Current% as the total completed to date for each line item. - Never exceed Available%: it is the hard limit for the draw. ### Before You Start - You've walked the site and noted the progress on each construction category. - Your photos are uploaded, so you can match each percentage to evidence. ### Step 1: Open the Draw Sheet **One row per budget line.** Each row is a construction category from the lender’s budget in the Ordering Engine, with a Comment, Photo, Max%, Previous%, Available% and Current% column. ![The Draw Sheet, with Available% and Current% at the right.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-draw-sheet/01-draw-sheet.webp) ### Step 2: Enter Current% for Each Line **Total to date, within Available%.** Enter the Current% for each line item as the total approved progress to date, not only the work since your last visit. Percentages accumulate across inspections. Available% is your hard limit, so funds are released only for work that is complete. ![Current% for the first line item.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-complete-the-draw-sheet/02-enter-current-percent.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Fill in the Draw Sheet on site while the details are fresh. - Check Available% before you type a Current% figure. - Add a Comment where a percentage needs an explanation. **WATCH FOR** - Current% is cumulative: 40% means 40% of the line is done, not 40% more. - A figure above Available% cannot be released. - Previous% shows what earlier inspections already reported. ### Troubleshooting **Q: A line item is missing.** A: Line items come from the lender’s budget. Ask the lender to add it in the Ordering Engine. **Q: Current% rejects my figure.** A: It is above Available%. Enter the completed share within the limit and note the rest in Comment. **Q: Can I change Previous%?** A: No. Previous% is what earlier inspections reported. Report this visit in Current%. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Uploading and Tagging Photos > Photos are the evidence behind every Draw Sheet percentage: upload as you go, add comments and tag each one to its question. Product: RAZE Inspector Portal Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal-upload-and-tag-photos All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open the Photos tab. The gallery shows every photo with its timestamp and size. - Click Upload to add photos, or click a photo to edit it. - In the Upload Photos window, add a Comment and optional GPS coordinates, then Submit. - Tag photos to Questionnaire questions with Tag Photo. ### Before You Start - Your site photos are on the computer or tablet you’re using. - You know which Draw Sheet line or question each photo supports. ### Step 1: Open the Photos Tab **The photo gallery.** Photos shows every image on the job as a card with its timestamp and file size. The lender relies on these to verify that the progress on the Draw Sheet is visible on site. ![The Photos tab, one card per photo.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-upload-and-tag-photos/01-photo-gallery.webp) ### Step 2: Upload or Edit Photos **The Upload Photos window.** Click Upload to add photos, or click an existing photo to edit it. The window steps through the photos one at a time: add a Comment, keep the Photo Guide reference, and add Latitude and Longitude if you want the location on record. Click Submit. ![Upload Photos: comment, photo guide, meta and coordinates.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-upload-and-tag-photos/02-upload-photos-modal.webp) ### Step 3: Tag Photos to Questions **Link evidence to the answer.** On the Questionnaire tab, click Tag Photo on the question the photo supports, pick the photos and click Done Tagging. See Completing the Questionnaire for the steps. ### Tips **DO** - Upload photos as you go, so you know which photos belong to which area. - Add a short Comment that names what the photo shows. - Tag every photo that proves a Draw Sheet percentage. **WATCH FOR** - A photo without a Comment or tag is hard for the lender to place. - Large uploads take longer on a slow connection; wait for Submit to finish. - Clicking a photo opens the edit window, not a full-size view. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Upload is greyed out.** A: The job may be Submitted or Lender Rejected. Reopen it to In Progress first. **Q: My photo uploaded without a comment.** A: Click the photo in the gallery to open the edit window and add the Comment. **Q: Where do I add GPS coordinates?** A: In the Upload Photos window, under Latitude and Longitude. Both are optional. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Inspector Portal Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal-submit-the-report All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Check every Questionnaire page, the Draw Sheet and the photos. - Click Submit Report at the top right of the job. - The status changes and the lender is notified in the Ordering Engine. - To attach a PDF to the job, use the upload icon in the Report block. ### Before You Start - Every required Questionnaire field is answered and the Draw Sheet is saved. - The photos that prove each percentage are uploaded and tagged. ### Step 1: Review Everything First **A quick check before you submit.** Open each Questionnaire page and confirm the Required count is cleared. Check the Draw Sheet figures against your photos. An incomplete submission delays the draw and can mean a second site visit. ### Step 2: Click Submit Report **Generate and send the report.** Click Submit Report at the top right of the job. Choose the report options, generate the report, check the preview and click Submit Report again. The status changes and the lender is notified in the Ordering Engine. ![Customize Report, then Generate Report.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/06-customize-report.webp) **The lender approves or rejects.** The lender reviews the report in the Ordering Engine and approves or rejects it. A rejection sets the status to Lender Rejected; see Reopening an Inspection After a Rejection for what to do next. ![Review the preview, then click Submit Report.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/07-preview-submit.webp) ### Step 3: Attach a PDF to the Job **Open Upload PDF.** When a job needs a PDF attached, click the upload icon in the About panel’s Report block. Click Select to Upload and pick the file (10 MB at most). ![Upload PDF: Select to Upload, then an optional Comment.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-submit-the-report/01-upload-pdf-empty.webp) **Add a comment and submit.** The file appears with its size. Add a Comment if the lender needs context, then click Submit. ![The PDF attached, ready to submit.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-submit-the-report/02-upload-pdf-attached.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Review the Questionnaire, Draw Sheet and photos before you click Submit Report. - Submit the same day as the visit. - Read the rejection reason before you fix and resubmit. **WATCH FOR** - Submit Report is greyed out while the status is Lender Rejected. - Upload PDF takes files up to 10 MB. - A submitted report can be rejected; keep your photos until the draw is approved. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Submit Report is greyed out.** A: The status is Lender Rejected or the job is not In Progress. Click the status badge, choose In Progress and click Save. **Q: The lender rejected my report.** A: Set the status back to In Progress, fix what the lender flagged and submit again. The guide Reopening an Inspection After a Rejection walks through it. **Q: My PDF is too large.** A: Upload PDF takes files up to 10 MB. Reduce the file size and try again. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Reopening an Inspection After a Rejection > When a lender rejects a report, set the status back to In Progress so you can fix it and submit again. Product: RAZE Inspector Portal Runs on: Desktop and tablet. The RAZE Inspector Portal is a web app for desktop and tablet browsers, not a phone app. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open the inspection. The reject reason is optional, so ask the lender if none came with it. ### Step 1: Know How Rejection Works **The lender rejects a submitted report.** A lender reviews the submitted report and clicks Reject Inspection, with an optional Reject Reason. The status becomes Lender Rejected and stays there until someone moves it back to In Progress. ![The lender's Reject Inspection window in the Ordering Engine.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/01-reject-inspection.webp) ### Step 2: Open the Rejected Inspection **Lender Rejected locks the report.** Open the inspection from Jobs. The About panel shows Lender Rejected and Submit Report is greyed out. Editing the Draw Sheet or adding photos won't turn it back on; only the status change does. ![Lender Rejected in the About panel, with Submit Report greyed out.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/02-lender-rejected.webp) ### Step 3: Set the Status to In Progress **Click the status badge.** Click the Lender Rejected badge in the About panel. Make your changes on the Questionnaire, Draw Sheet and Photos tabs. ![In Progress, with Submit Report active again.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/05-status-updated.webp) ### Step 5: Resubmit the Report **Generate the report.** Click Submit Report. In Customize Report, turn on Separate Photo Details into a downloadable PDF only if you want the photo details as a separate download, then click Generate Report. ![Customize Report: choose the photo details option, then Generate Report.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/06-customize-report.webp) **Review and submit.** The report preview opens. Check the pages, then click Submit Report. ![Review the preview, then click Submit Report.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/07-preview-submit.webp) **Back with the lender.** The status returns to Submitted, and the lender can accept or reject the new report. If they reject it again, repeat these steps. ![Submitted: the fixed report is back with the lender.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-reopen-a-rejected-inspection/08-submitted.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Read the reject reason before you change anything. - Fix everything the lender flagged before you resubmit. - Check the report preview before you click Submit Report. **WATCH FOR** - Submit Report stays greyed out until the status is In Progress. - Choose In Progress, not Submitted: Submit Report sends the fixed report. - Testing an integration? Run this loop in Stage before you go live. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Submit Report is greyed out.** A: The status is still Lender Rejected. Click the badge, choose In Progress and click Save. **Q: The badge doesn't open Edit Status.** A: Your account may not have access to change the status. Contact RAZE support with the job number and we'll check it. **Q: Do I need a new order after a rejection?** A: No. The same inspection is fixed and resubmitted. Each rejection returns it to Lender Rejected; an acceptance sets Lender Approved. ### Need Help? Filter by Name, Status or ID, or click Filter for more. Status shows whether an inspector is Approved or Pending Approval. ![The People list, with the search fields and Display at the top.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-list/01-inspector-list.webp) ### Step 2: Choose Your Columns **Column Configuration.** Click Display to open Column Configuration and tick the columns you need: Work States, Work Lenders, Uploaded Count, Insp In Progress, Insp Assigned Insp and Insp PreAssigned among them. ![Column Configuration under the Display button.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-list/02-column-configuration.webp) ### Step 3: Read the Workload Numbers **Balance the team.** Uploaded Count, Insp In Progress and Insp Assigned Insp show how much each inspector is carrying. Work Lenders shows which lender accounts each inspector is authorized to work on. Use them to spot who is overloaded or underused before you assign. ### Tips **DO** - Check Insp In Progress before you assign a new job. - Keep Work Lenders in view when a lender account needs coverage. - Hide the columns you don’t use, so the numbers you need stand out. **WATCH FOR** - Pending Approval inspectors cannot take jobs until they are Approved. - A hidden column stays hidden until you tick it again in Display. - The list is paged; check the page count at the bottom. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I can't see People.** A: People is only visible to managers and administrators. Ask your company administrator for the role. **Q: An inspector is missing from the list.** A: Clear the Name, Status and ID fields and check the other pages. If the inspector is new, their account may still be Pending Approval. **Q: What is Insp PreAssigned?** A: Jobs reserved for the inspector before formal assignment. See the Assignments tab in their profile for the list. ### Need Help? Action holds Change Institution, Deactivate and Delete. Messages & Notifications opens the push message window. ![The profile header with the Action menu open.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-profile/01-profile-overview.webp) ### Step 2: Edit Profile Details **Permission Role and contact details.** Click Edit Profile to update the name, Company, Email Address, Mobile Number, License Number, Permission Role, Max Mile Range, Tax Payer ID and Notification ID, then click Save. Permission Role sets what the inspector can see and do in the portal. ![Edit Profile, with Permission Role in the middle of the form.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-profile/02-edit-profile.webp) ### Step 3: Authorize Lenders and Work Locations **Lender access and licensed states.** Authorized Lenders lists every lender account the inspector can work on, with the Lender Code, Lender Name, Status, Insurance PDFs and whether Dedicated Insurance is required. Work Locations lists the states the inspector is licensed in, with the license number per state. Click + Add on either section to add a row. ![Payment Method, Authorized Lenders and Work Locations.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-profile/03-lenders-and-work-locations.webp) ### Step 4: Add a Lender **Authorize Lender.** In Authorize Lender, pick the Lender Code, check the Lender Name, set the Status and Contact Name, choose whether to Require Dedicated Insurance and set Private. Removing a lender restricts the inspector’s access right away. ![Authorize Lender: code, name, status, contact and insurance.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-profile/04-authorize-lender.webp) ### Step 5: Send a Push Message **Messages & Notifications.** Click Messages & Notifications. Give the message a Title and Body, an optional Topic, and Advanced Data key-value pairs for app integrations if you need them. The message goes to the inspector’s registered device. ![Send Message: Title, Body, Topic and Advanced Data.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-inspector-profile/05-send-message.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Set Permission Role before the inspector takes a first job. - Add a Work Location for every state the inspector holds a license in. - Use Deactivate, not Delete, when an inspector leaves for a while. **WATCH FOR** - An inspector sees only jobs for lenders in Authorized Lenders. - Delete is permanent; the history goes with the account. - Change Institution moves the inspector to another lending institution. ### Troubleshooting **Q: An inspector can't see a lender's jobs.** A: Open Authorized Lenders in their profile and add the lender with + Add, with Status set to Approved. **Q: Where do insurance documents go?** A: Click Upload PDF in Authorized Lenders. The file shows under Insurance PDFs on the lender row. **Q: The push message didn't arrive.** A: Check Devices & Notifications in the profile: the Notifications log shows whether each message reached the device. ### Need Help? Filter by Status to see what is still In Progress. ![Assignments, with the Assigned and Pre-Assigned toggle and the Status filter.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-audit-an-inspector/01-assignments.webp) ### Step 2: Check the Device History **Device ID, last location and updates.** Devices & Notifications opens with three cards: the Device ID of the registered mobile device, the Last Location with a map link, and the Last Update time. The list below is a timestamped log of locations with the distance between them. ![Device summary cards and the location list.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-audit-an-inspector/02-devices-list.webp) ### Step 3: See the Route on a Map **Map View and the Notifications log.** Click Map View to see the route as numbered pins joined by a line, useful when a report is questioned and you need to confirm the inspector visited the property. Below the map, Notifications lists every push message with its status, time, title, topic and data. ![The route map, with the Notifications log below it.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-audit-an-inspector/03-route-map.webp) ### Step 4: Read the Audit Log **Who changed what.** Audit keeps the Inspector Settings Audit Log: each row shows the log ID, the fields changed, who made the change and any error. When several fields changed at once, click the +N badge to see the full list. ![The audit log, with the +2 badge expanded.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/inspector-portal/inspector-portal-audit-an-inspector/04-audit-log.webp) ### Tips **DO** - Check Assignments before you give an inspector another job. - Use Map View when a lender questions whether a visit happened. - Read Audit first when an inspector’s access changes unexpectedly. **WATCH FOR** - Location history comes from the registered device; a new phone starts a new log. - An Error status in Notifications means the message never reached the device. - The audit log records settings changes, not inspection edits. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The location list is empty.** A: The inspector’s device has not reported a location yet. Check that the RAZE app is installed and signed in on their phone. **Q: A push message shows Error.** A: The device could not be reached. Ask the inspector to open the app and sign in, then send the message again. **Q: Who changed this inspector’s settings?** A: Open Audit. The By column names the account that made each change. ### Need Help? Contact your manager, not Account Settings. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I can't find Account Settings.** A: Click your name or the round avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar. **Q: My lender access is gone.** A: Account Settings doesn’t control it. Ask your company administrator to check Authorized Lenders in your profile under People. **Q: I forgot my password.** A: Ask your company administrator to reset it, or contact RAZE support. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-how-it-works All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Your system orders the inspection through the API. It opens as Lender Open. - An inspector locks it in RAZE and works the draw sheet. It moves to In Progress. - The inspector submits it. It moves to Submitted, and the report follows. - Your system approves or rejects it: Lender Approved or Lender Rejected. ### Before You Start - Your team keeps projects and budgets in its own loan system. - You want that system to order draw inspections from RAZE and get the results back. ### Step 1: Order from Your System **Create the inspection.** Your system sends one create call with the project and property details. RAZE creates the inspection, and the project with its first inspection, and returns the IDs you keep for every later call. ### Step 2: The Inspector Works in RAZE **Lock and inspect.** An inspector locks the inspection in RAZE, visits the site and fills in the draw sheet, photos and notes. The status is In Progress from the moment the inspection is locked. **Submit.** When the work is complete, the inspector submits the inspection back to you. The status moves to Submitted, and the report follows after RAZE quality review. ### Step 3: Follow the Status from Your System **Check status through the API.** Your system reads the status by checking the inspection through the API on a schedule. The portal calls this step Check Status & Download Results (Polling). ### Step 4: Decide in Your System **Approve or reject.** Your team reviews the submitted inspection and its report, and your system sends an approve or reject call. The status becomes Lender Approved or Lender Rejected. ### Tips **DO** - Treat Lender Open as the order and In Progress as the inspector's lock. - Read the status from your system on a schedule. - Keep the inspection decision separate from your draw funding steps. **WATCH FOR** - Lender Approved and Lender Rejected are the inspection decision, not a draw status in RAZE. - Approving the inspection doesn't fund the draw. - Submitted means the inspector is done; the decision is still yours. ### Troubleshooting **Q: What's the difference between Lender Open and In Progress?** A: Lender Open means the inspection is ordered. In Progress means an inspector has locked it and is working on it. **Q: Does RAZE call my system when a status changes?** A: No. Your system checks the status through the API. Your RAZE contact can also include custom email notifications and alerts in your integration. **Q: Does Lender Approved fund the draw?** A: No. It records your decision on the inspection. Funding the draw stays in your own loan system. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-stage-and-production-access All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Build and test every call in Stage first. - Keep each environment's API address, codes and service account together. - Use the Stage service account only in Stage, and the Production one only in Production. - Store service account passwords where only your integration team can read them. ### Before You Start - Your institution is working with RAZE on an API integration. - You know who on your team will hold the service account passwords. ### Step 1: Know the Two Environments **Stage.** Stage is a real sandbox with its own address and credentials. Stage orders never reach a live inspector and nothing is billed, so test as often as you need. Your Stage credentials can also complete a sample residential draw inspection, so you can test the whole flow. **Production.** Production is live: every order goes to a real inspector. Move to Production only after your full flow works in Stage (see Going Live in Production). ### Step 2: Collect Your Setup Details **One service account per environment.** RAZE gives you a service account for Stage and another for Production. Your system uses it to request access tokens. **API address and institution codes.** Each environment has its own API address and its own institution codes, which your create calls carry. The API reference in the Developer Portal shows the server for the environment you sign in to. **Passwords come separately.** Service account passwords are delivered separately from the rest of your setup details. ### Step 3: Protect the Credentials **Restrict access.** Keep the passwords where only the people who run the integration can read them. If a password is exposed, ask RAZE to reset it. ### Tips **DO** - Label every setting by environment so Stage and Production values never mix. - Test each call in Stage before you order in Production. - Ask RAZE for a reset as soon as a password may be exposed. **WATCH FOR** - A Stage service account doesn't work in Production, and a Production one doesn't work in Stage. - Production calls never go to the Stage address. - Your Developer Portal sign-in is your own RAZE account, not the service account. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Are Stage orders billed?** A: No. Stage orders never reach a live inspector and nothing is billed. **Q: Can we use one service account for both environments?** A: No. Stage and Production each have their own service account and password. **Q: A password was exposed. What now?** A: Contact RAZE and ask for a reset, then update the password in your system. ### Need Help? Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal-sign-in All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Go to api.getaraze.com and sign in with your RAZE email and password. - Choose Stage or Production at sign-in. - Under How are you connecting?, choose External System. - Use Explanation for the steps and Documentation for each call. ### Before You Start - You have a RAZE account email and password with Developer Portal access. - Your institution keeps its projects in its own system. ### Step 1: Sign In **Open the Developer Portal.** Go to api.getaraze.com. The sign-in page reads API Documentation. ![Pick Stage or Production, then sign in with your RAZE email and password.](https://getaraze.com/images/docs/developer-portal/developer-portal-sign-in/01-sign-in.webp) **Choose the environment and sign in.** Pick Stage or Production, enter your email and password, and select Sign in. The password needs at least 6 characters. ### Step 2: Choose Your Connection Path **Choose External System.** How are you connecting? offers two paths. Choose External System if you keep projects in your own system and only send and receive inspection data. Ordering Engine is for teams that create projects and order inside RAZE. ![Choose External System for a direct API integration.](https://getaraze.com/images/developer-portal/developer-portal-connection-paths-v1.webp) ### Step 3: Read the Explanation Guide **Follow the four steps.** Explanation opens the External System Integration guide. Its four steps are the order you build in: Get Authentication Token, Create Inspection, Check Status & Download Results (Polling), and Approve or Reject the Inspection. ![The External System Integration guide and its four steps.](https://getaraze.com/images/developer-portal/developer-portal-external-system-guide-v1.webp) ### Step 4: Use the API Reference **Open Documentation.** Documentation is the RAZE API reference, grouped as Auth, Create Inspection, Check Status, Approve / Reject and Models. Each call shows its request, its responses and examples in Shell, Ruby, Node.js, PHP and Python. ![The RAZE API reference, with the OpenAPI document to download.](https://getaraze.com/images/developer-portal/developer-portal-api-reference-v1.webp) **Download the OpenAPI document.** Select Download OpenAPI Document to load every call into your own tools. The reference is OpenAPI 3.0.3. ### Tips **DO** - Work through Explanation in order before you open single calls. - Use Search in the API reference to jump to a call. - Sign in to Stage while you build and test. **WATCH FOR** - Choose External System, not Ordering Engine, when your projects live in your own system. - The portal sign-in is your own RAZE account; calls use the service account. - Use the Test Request button only with Stage credentials while you build. ### Troubleshooting **Q: I can't sign in.** A: Check your email and password. If it still fails, contact RAZE to confirm your account has Developer Portal access. **Q: I chose the wrong connection path.** A: Select Change connection at the top of the portal and choose External System. **Q: Can we work from an AI assistant instead?** A: Yes. Select Set up the MCP server on the Explanation page. MCP-compatible AI assistants and agents can then order inspections and read inspection data with your own account. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Getting an Access Token > Request a token with your service account, send it on every call, and request a new one when it expires after an hour. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-access-token All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Call Obtain access token with your service account username and password. - Send it as a URL-encoded form with the password grant type. - Put the token in the Authorization header as a Bearer token on every other call. - Request a new token every hour. ### Before You Start - You have the service account username and password for the environment you're calling. - You're signed in to the Developer Portal. ### Step 1: Request the Token **Call Obtain access token.** In Documentation, open Auth and select Obtain access token. Send your service account username and password with the OAuth 2.0 password grant, as a URL-encoded form. **Read the response.** A successful call returns the access token, its type (bearer) and how many seconds it lasts. A wrong username or password returns an invalid grant error. ### Step 2: Send It on Every Call **Add the Authorization header.** Every call except the token request carries the token as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. ### Step 3: Renew It Every Hour **Request a new token when it expires.** Tokens last one hour (3,600 seconds). Request a new one before it runs out, or as soon as a call fails because the token expired. ### Tips **DO** - Reuse one token for all calls until it expires. - Request tokens from your server, never from a browser or a phone app. - Use the Stage service account while you build and test. **WATCH FOR** - Send the token request as a URL-encoded form, not JSON. - Never log or share the token or the service account password. - Tokens expire after one hour. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The token call returns an invalid grant error.** A: Check the username and password, and that you're using the service account for the environment you're calling. **Q: Calls fail after working for a while.** A: The token has probably expired. Tokens last an hour, so request a new one. **Q: Where do I see the token call in full?** A: In Documentation, open Auth, then Obtain access token. It shows the request, the responses, code examples and a Test Request button. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Ordering an Inspection by API > Send one create call with your project details, then save the project and inspection IDs RAZE returns for every later call. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-order-inspection All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Open Documentation, then Create Inspection, then Create / order inspection. - Send your institution codes and the project details, in Upper Camel Case. - Save the project ID and inspection ID from the response. - Reuse the same project GUID for every later inspection on that project. ### Before You Start - You have a valid access token (see Getting an Access Token). - You have your institution codes for this environment and a unique GUID for the project from your system. ### Step 1: Build the Request **Open the create call.** In Documentation, open Create Inspection and select Create / order inspection. Step 2 of the Explanation guide has a full sample request you can copy. **Fill in both parts.** The request has two parts. The header carries the institution codes RAZE issued for this environment. The project carries your project GUID, the property address and the general contractor's contact details. Field names use Upper Camel Case. ### Step 2: Send It and Save the IDs **Send the call.** Send the request with your Bearer token. RAZE creates the inspection, and the project too when this is its first inspection. **Save both IDs.** The response returns a project ID and an inspection ID. Store both with the loan record: later calls and support requests use them. ### Step 3: Order the Next Inspection **Reuse the project GUID.** For the next inspection on the same project, send the same project GUID so every inspection lands on that project. ### Step 4: Verify the Order **Get the inspection.** Under Check Status, get the inspection with its inspection ID. It returns the line items, photos, documents, notes, status and audit history, so you can confirm each step landed. ### Tips **DO** - Create one GUID per project in your system and keep it with the loan. - Save the IDs from the response before anything else. - Verify each new inspection with a Check Status call. **WATCH FOR** - Match the Upper Camel Case field names exactly. - Don't make a new GUID for a project RAZE already has. - A Production order goes to a live inspector, so build against Stage. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Do I create the project first?** A: No. On the External System path, the create call creates the project with its first inspection. Don't call project creation or project search. **Q: Where's a full sample request?** A: In the Explanation guide, step 2 Create Inspection. The API reference lists every field. **Q: We lost the IDs from the response.** A: Contact RAZE support with your project GUID, the environment and the time of the call. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Attaching Documents to the Project > Upload documents to the project as a file or as Base64 in JSON, then confirm the document is on the inspection. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-attach-documents All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Choose an upload: a multipart file or JSON with Base64. - Upload to the project with the project ID from your create call. - Keep the document ID from the response. - Get the inspection to confirm the document is attached. ### Before You Start - You've ordered the inspection and saved its project ID. - You have a valid access token (see Getting an Access Token). ### Step 1: Choose How to Upload **Multipart file.** Upload project document (Multipart) sends the file as a standard multipart form, addressed to the project ID. **JSON with Base64.** Upload project document (JSON + Base64) sends the file Base64-encoded inside a JSON body, for systems that already build JSON requests. ### Step 2: Upload and Save the IDs **Send the upload.** Send the call with your Bearer token. Keep the project ID and the document ID from the response with the loan record. **Replace a document.** With the JSON upload, sending a document again with the same usage and sequence replaces the earlier file. ### Step 3: Confirm the Document Landed **Check the inspection.** A success response doesn't prove the inspector can see the file. Get the inspection under Check Status and confirm the document is attached. **Ask support if it's still missing.** If the document is attached but the inspector still can't see it, send RAZE support the project ID, inspection ID, document ID and file name. ### Tips **DO** - Upload documents right after the create call, while you have the project ID. - Keep each document ID with the loan record. - Give files clear names so the inspector knows what each one is. **WATCH FOR** - A success response isn't proof the inspector can see the file. - Check the project ID: the wrong one puts the file on another project. - The same usage and sequence replaces the earlier file. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The upload succeeded but the document isn't on the inspection.** A: Confirm the upload used the right project ID, then get the inspection again. If it's still missing, send RAZE support the project ID, inspection ID, document ID and file name. **Q: Which upload should I use?** A: Either one. Multipart suits files on disk; JSON with Base64 suits systems that already send JSON. **Q: Can I add documents to the inspection itself?** A: Yes. Create Inspection in the API reference also lists Upload inspection document and Get inspection document. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Checking Status and Downloading the Report > Check the inspection from your system to follow its status, then download the report once it's ready. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-check-status-download-report All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Get the inspection by its inspection ID to read its status. - Check on a schedule: status is read through the API. - Download the report once the inspection shows it's ready. - Review the report before you approve or reject. ### Before You Start - You've ordered the inspection and saved its inspection ID. - You have a valid access token (see Getting an Access Token). ### Step 1: Read the Status **Get the inspection.** Under Check Status, get the inspection with its inspection ID. The response has the status plus the line items, photos, documents, notes and audit history. **Know the statuses.** Lender Open: ordered. In Progress: an inspector locked it and is working. Submitted: the inspector sent it back. Lender Approved or Lender Rejected: your decision. ### Step 2: Check on a Schedule **Poll from your system.** RAZE doesn't push status changes to your system, so check on a schedule. The portal calls this step Check Status & Download Results (Polling). ### Step 3: Download the Report **Wait until it's ready.** After the inspector submits, RAZE quality review checks the report before it reaches you. The inspection shows when the report document is ready. **Download it.** Once it's ready, download the inspection report with the inspection ID under Check Status. ### Step 4: Read the Report **What's inside.** The cover shows your logo, the property, the inspection number and the date. The draw sheet shows percent complete for each line item against the schedule of values. Photos are time and location stamped and link to the line items or questions they support. Inspector notes print on the report. ### Tips **DO** - Check status at a steady interval, not in a tight loop. - Use the audit history to see who changed the status and when. - Download and review the report before you decide. **WATCH FOR** - Download the report only after the inspection shows it's ready. - Submitted isn't the decision: your approve or reject call is. - Every status and report call needs the inspection ID. ### Troubleshooting **Q: The report won't download.** A: Check that the inspection shows the report document is ready. Download it only after that. **Q: Can RAZE notify us instead?** A: Status is read through the API. Your RAZE contact can include custom email notifications and alerts in your integration. **Q: Where are the photos and line items?** A: They come back when you get the inspection, with the documents, notes and audit history. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Approving or Rejecting the Inspection > Record your decision on a submitted inspection from your own system, with the name of the person who made it. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-approve-reject-inspection All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Wait until the inspection is Submitted and you've reviewed the report. - Send the approve or reject call under Approve / Reject with the inspection ID. - Include the username of the person in your system who decided. - Give a reason when you reject: the inspector sees it. ### Before You Start - The inspection's status is Submitted. - You've reviewed the report (see Checking Status and Downloading the Report). ### Step 1: Send the Decision **Open Approve / Reject.** In Documentation, open Approve / Reject. There's one call to approve and one to reject. **Send the inspection ID and who decided.** Send the inspection ID. Also send the username, from your system, of the person who made the decision: the portal recommends it. ### Step 2: Know What Happens Next **Approved.** The status becomes Lender Approved. **Rejected.** The status becomes Lender Rejected, with your reason for the inspector. It stays there until it's set back to In Progress, fixed and resubmitted, which returns it to Submitted for a new decision. ### Tips **DO** - Decide from the system where your team reviews draws. - Send the deciding user's username with every decision. - Write rejection reasons the inspector can act on. **WATCH FOR** - Decide only on Submitted inspections. - Lender Approved isn't draw funding. - Test decisions in Stage before you go live. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Does approving fund the draw?** A: No. Lender Approved records your decision on the inspection. Funding stays in your own loan system. **Q: What happens after a rejection?** A: It stays Lender Rejected until it's set back to In Progress in the Inspector Portal, fixed and resubmitted. In Stage, you can run that loop yourself. **Q: Why send the username?** A: It ties each decision to the person in your system who made it. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Going Live in Production > Prove every call in Stage, switch all your settings to Production together, and keep the IDs each live inspection needs. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-go-live-production All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Test every call your system makes in Stage. - Switch the API address, service account and codes to Production together. - Order your first live inspection and verify each step. - Store each inspection's IDs with the loan record. ### Before You Start - Every call works in Stage. - You have your Production service account and institution codes. ### Step 1: Finish Testing in Stage **Test every call.** In Stage, run each call your system makes: the token, the create call, document uploads, status checks, the report download and the decision. **Complete a sample inspection.** Stage orders never reach a live inspector, so the same Stage credentials you test with can complete a sample residential draw inspection. That moves your test inspection to Submitted, so you can test the report and the decision. ### Step 2: Switch to Production **Change every setting at once.** Swap the Stage API address, service account and institution codes for the Production ones together. Never mix Stage and Production values in one call. **Check for leftovers.** Make sure no Stage address is left anywhere in your Production configuration. ### Step 3: Run the Live Path **Follow the order.** Get a token, create the inspection, save the IDs, attach documents and verify. The inspector works in the field and submits. You download and review the report, then approve or reject. ### Step 4: Keep the IDs **Store these for every inspection.** Your project GUID, the project ID, the inspection ID, and the IDs of line items, documents and photos. The project ID and inspection ID are the main keys: keep them with the loan record and include both in every support request. ### Tips **DO** - Keep Stage for tests after go-live. - Verify your first live order with a Check Status call. - Keep each inspection's IDs with the loan record. **WATCH FOR** - A Production order goes to a real inspector. - Stage and Production values never mix in one call. - Request a new Production token: Stage tokens don't carry over. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Who completes the inspection in Stage?** A: You can, with the same Stage credentials you test with: they can complete a sample residential draw inspection. RAZE representatives can also do it once your MSA is executed. **Q: Can we keep testing after go-live?** A: Yes. Keep using Stage for tests: Stage orders never reach a live inspector and nothing is billed. **Q: Our first Production call fails.** A: Check that the address, service account and codes are all Production values, then request a fresh token. **Q: Which IDs matter most?** A: The project ID and the inspection ID. Keep both with the loan record and include them in every support request. ### Need Help? Email RAZE support at contact@getaraze.com, or send a support request from https://getaraze.com/tools. ## Troubleshooting an API Call > Check the token, environment and IDs first, then send RAZE support the details it needs to trace the call. Product: RAZE Developer Portal Runs on: Web browser. The RAZE Developer Portal is a web portal opened in a browser; the integration itself runs in your own loan system. Product guides: https://getaraze.com/tools/developer-portal Source: https://getaraze.com/tools/api-troubleshooting All guides: https://getaraze.com/tools ### Quick Reference - Check that the token hasn't expired. - Check the address, service account and codes all belong to one environment. - Check the project ID and inspection ID. - Send support the details listed in step 3. ### Before You Start - You have the request and the response from your logs. - You know the time of the call. ### Step 1: Check the Usual Causes **The token.** Tokens last an hour. Request a new one and retry. **The environment.** The address, the service account and the codes must all belong to the same environment. **The IDs.** Use the project ID and inspection ID the create call returned for this inspection. ### Step 2: Document Not Visible to the Inspector **Check the project ID.** Confirm the upload went to the right project ID. **Check the inspection.** Get the inspection and confirm the document is attached. **Send the details.** If it's attached but still not visible to the inspector, contact RAZE support with the document ID and file name. ### Step 3: Send RAZE Support the Details **Include all of these.** The environment (Stage or Production), your project GUID, the project ID, the inspection ID, the time of the call, the call you made, the response body or error, and the document file name and document ID if a document is involved. ### Tips **DO** - Log every request and response with a timestamp. - Include the project ID and inspection ID in every support request. - Retry with a fresh token before you report a failure. **WATCH FOR** - A success response on an upload isn't proof the file is visible. - Stage and Production credentials don't mix. - Never send a password or token to support. ### Troubleshooting **Q: Calls start failing after about an hour.** A: The token expired. Request a new one. **Q: The token call returns an invalid grant error.** A: Check the service account username and password for that environment. **Q: A call works in Stage but fails in Production.** A: Check that the address, service account and codes are all Production values. ### Need Help?
